Our logistics are getting greener. Thanks to extensive measures in the area of logistics, we have achieved CO2 savings of 21,400 tonnes* since 2021: we ship the majority of our steel section packages by rail, the most climate-friendly means of transport of all. Wherever possible, we shift transport from truck to rail, including the use of combined transport. For a long time, SWT has commissioned DB Cargo to carry out CO2-neutral transport to Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland.

The reduction of emissions is of great importance to us and the further switch to CO2-neutral transport is a milestone. Since this year, we have also negotiated the use of a climate-neutral rail tariff for delivery destinations within Germany: with our cooperation partner DB Cargo, we transport our steel using exclusively green electricity from renewable energy sources.
