Together we are promoting cycling, climate protection and quality of life. From 25 May to 13 June, our Stahlwerk + Friends team covered as many distances as possible by bike: to work, to nursery school, to the bakery or trips into the countryside by bike instead of by car. This means less exhaust fumes, less noise and fewer traffic jams.

In total, the 69 active cyclists in our team managed to cover almost 19,000 climate-friendly kilometres. This corresponds to a CO2 saving of over three tonnes. Our employees, their families and friends thus achieved first place among all participating companies and a very good third place overall in the municipality of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt:

The STADTRADELN campaign takes place every year across Germany on 21 consecutive days, with each local authority deciding exactly when. Every journey and every kilometre is entered online in a mileage log or tracked directly via the CITY CYCLING app.
